Orphanage Visit

Muvi Foundation, as part of its CSR initiatives, visited Jeevan Jyoti Ashram, a Khandagiri-based orphanage. This orphanage is home to many orphaned and rescued kids from the darker side of our society. It gave us immense pleasure for being able to bring a smile on these children face. There are around 140 kids from 3 years of age to 15 years of age.

Life is not easy for anyone, but how to stand tall against all odds, these children teach us. Our momentary happiness or anxiety are so minuscule in front of these children’s daily hardship. We were amazed to see the spirit, the vigor and the sparkle among the children who are struggling for a decent life yet have dreams in their eyes. The kids performed at many Bollywood numbers and we were awestruck, what talent! We salute them.

As a token of goodwill towards the orphanage, Muvi foundation extended support and donated one month’s grocery, notebooks, floor mats, utensils among the children. We carried fruits, chips and chocolates for the kids which they relished during the magic show conducted by Mr. Sukesh Pattanaik, world renowned magician, who performed a few tricks that enthralled the children with amusement, fun, and laughter.

The children are so much fun. We had an amazing session where we talked about their school, studies, and more. They are all dreaming and dreaming big irrespective of the social adversity. It’s huge learning for everyone especially today’s generation who are according to a study are highly prone to depression because of their haywire lifestyle and social acceptance issues. The children here are dealing with much more than that with a smile and undying spirit.

The event was followed by a lunch. The event was supported by volunteers from the orphanage who have been the pillars of support of the noble institution. Muvians gathered in numbers to support the kids who in return welcomed Muvi Foundation’s team with whole heart and a big smile!!
